NetService – case study

NetService serves three kinds of operator in the automotive sector — vehicle registration agencies, driving schools and roadworthiness test centres — who share part of their work but answer to different obligations. The platform keeps them in one system instead of multiplying tools.

The constraint that shaped the project

The pagoPA integration. Payments to the Italian public administration follow precise technical rules that leave no room for interpretation: the format of the notices, how receipts are handled, what happens when a transaction stops halfway. It is not a module that adapts to the rest of the application — the rest of the application adapts to it.

How it works

• Case management from intake to closure, with the status always legible: in an agency several people touch the same case at different moments.
• Payments through the pagoPA circuit, with reconciliation between what was requested and what actually came back.
• Integrated modules, so a customer record is entered once and serves all three trades.

The part you do not see

Three categories of operator means three sets of rules that only partly overlap. The temptation is to write three applications and call them one; the opposite choice — a single structure with the differences isolated where they belong — costs more up front and pays for itself with every change in regulation, because you apply it in one place instead of three.
